ODB Group has a vacancy for a full-time Senior Designer based in our HQ office in Elstead, in the highly accessible and delightfully calm and relaxed Surrey Hills.
We are looking for a successful candidate with an essential in-depth knowledge of current trends and standards in commercial interior spaces, supported by a general understanding of technical elements (M&E), particularly for office environments.
As a "design lead" within our design & build company, you will be expected to show dynamic presentation skills and be highly creative with a sales emphasis to win projects. Your experience should be supported by industry knowledge with relevant contacts and you'll naturally be engaging, empathetic and resourceful, with a reasoned approach and a persuasive edge.

ODB have competitively won a variety of projects for over 26 years, across a huge array of commercial interior spaces for landlord and tenants. We design and build inspiring interiors for gaming companies through to corporate law firms, specialist clinics to industrial units. ODB can showcase high end design and FF&E, technical infrastructure; as well as paired down design and economical solutions, for every type of client, yet always fit for purpose, at each and every level. We are located in a countryside business park, surrounded by nature and the beautiful Surrey countryside. Our office complex has an on-site cafe, ample parking and outside seating. We are conveniently positioned for easy access from the A3 and access in to / out of London Waterloo / Clapham Junction by train from Milford, Guildford, Godalming or Farnham.
Your work with us will involve delivering swift and competitive interior design projects from brief take to pitch and you'll be in command of design integrity at every juncture including the build phase. You will "own" your own design projects from start to finish (and repeat business). ODB has a caring, encouraging and supportive team, where others willingly step in to assist as and if needed. Although every designer will be allocated their own projects, your position within the team will have directive and educational support from seniors and support from all. We look for professional consideration to mentor your juniors and respected input with your seniors - with continued collaboration encouraged.
A typical day offers varied stimulation across internal/external meetings, client introductions, supplier / consultant contacts and delivery team communications - all part of your design work.
Most of our clients are in central London with projects also in Thames Valley and across the south of the UK. Ability to travel is essential.
